Willmott Dixon to build 650 new homes in Barking

A well-known UK residential developer has purchased 3.9 acres of the 9 acre Abbey Retail Park site in Barking where it plans to develop approximately 650 flats for the private rental sector (PRS) and then manage them as landlord, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

Willmott Dixons has acquired the land from Estates and Agency Group and, should it receive planning permission for the project, will ultimately have more than 1300 homes in its PRS portfolio.
