Over 100 new apprenticeships are to be created alongside the construction of a new prison in Wrexham, North Wales over the next couple of years, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

Lend Lease, the company who was awarded the construction project, will create the new apprenticeship places.

18-year-old Daniel Davies, who has already begun an apprenticeship with the firm, said: “I believe that an apprenticeship is the best way to learn skills and gain experience. Being paid is an incentive to work harder and progress within the industry. I have enjoyed getting to know the team and working alongside them doing something I have always wanted to do.”
