Thorndell Engineering set for expansion after completion of new HQ

Doncaster-based Thorndell Engineering, who manufactures a wide array of products, from gates and fences to steel frames for buildings, has just revealed plans to extend its staff after completing extension work on a brand-new £350,000 building.

According to a report in the local media, the company, based at Kirk Sandall, employs 22 staff but it looking to take on five more now the new building is complete.

“We are continuing to grow despite the recession and the future is looking good,” said Penny Barker, who runs the company with fellow director Paul Thompson.”The main reason that we have been so successful is that we are reliable and we do what we say we are going to do. This new building means we will be able to do even more. We will be able to produce more large steel structures for buildings such as schools and hospitals.”
