Smart card integration allows contractors to clock in or out of site and for presence monitoring

Launching a consultation on the proposals on Friday, employment relations minister Norman Lamb remarked: “It’s clear that the current arrangements are not working in the best interests of either staff or managers.” Those backing these proposed changes argue that it will make workforce more flexible, helping employer react to economic changes more quickly. Other proposals include introducing a new, non-statutory, Code of Practice.

Time and Attendance UK has integrated our .NET suite of products to allow a seamless integration between our smart card and our Visitor/Contractor Management systems. The integration allows a ‘one card fits all’ philosophy where contractors who attend your site use their existing card to not only identify themselves, but also to clock in/out of site for presence monitoring, grant access to the site and log them on and off the evacuation roll-call which is automatically printed when an alarm is triggered.
