Over 50,000 sq ft of employment and residential space to be developed near Cirencester

Development plans for more than 50,000 sq ft of employment space as well as residential properties near Cirencester have been forwarded to the Cotswold District Council, in a bid to redevelop the area and bring in more business and jobs.

According to a report in the local media, the scheme, located on a 12-acre site, would include up to 100 properties and 53,000 sq ft of B1 employment space as well as associated infrastructure including new access from the A417 London Road.

An outline planning application for the construction of a business park on the site was approved in December 2007, subject to reversed matters to be submitted within seven years of the application – December 2013. This has not been implemented and no development has taken place.
