Landmark building in Leeds to undergo £1m refurbishment

The building at No 1 Whitehall Riverside, one of Leeds’ landmark offices, is set to undergo a major,£1m refurbishment programme, targeting the property’s two 17,159 sq ft vacant office floors.

According to a news report in the local business media, the building has the largest floorplates and amount of vacant grade A space currently available in any one building in the city centre, joint leasing agent Jones Lang LaSalle said.

Richard Thornton from JLL said: “More than ever, a sustainable refurbishment is needed to ensure the best buildings are future proofed. Our client is investing in No 1 Whitehall Riverside to ensure this prestigious office building meets today’s environmental standards and continues to appeal to both existing and potential occupiers.”
