Housing minister issues appeal for more people to choose career in construction
The UK’s housing minister has urged more young people to consider a career in the construction industry, a recent news report has been able to reveal.
Mr Brandon Lewis made the appeal as he attended an open day at the Hodgkinson Brickwork Academy at Derby College.
He added the industry was improving again due to the Government putting housebuilding at the heart of its long-term economic plan.
The brickwork academy, set up in partnership with Derby College, has already seen high demand with over 100 potential recruits attending an open day in June.
