Four different overtime rates are available in automated clocking system
A Freedom of Information request has revealed the overtime payments at a police force. It uncovered that the largest monthly overtime payment in North Wales was £5,314 in 2011 and £3,591 in 2010. The biggest payment to one individual during that period was £20,736. The reaction from the TaxPayers’ Alliance was “taxpayers will be alarmed” by the stats. Its political director Jonathan Isaby said: “Some police officers in Wales are getting more in overtime alone than the wage that many people earn in a year.”
