Construction Work To Begin On £150m Hospital Project In North London

Construction work is set to begin on a new £150 million hospital in North London, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to suggest.

The local council has approved planning consent for the redevelopment of Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, a project that is being delivered by the Integrated Health Projects joint venture (JV) Sir Robert McAlpine and Vinci, including healthcare architects IBI Group, TB&A and Thomasons.

Features of the five-storey building include an urgent care centre, inpatients, eight theatres, day surgery, outpatient ambulatory care zone, imaging, diagnostics and supporting facilities.

Future-proof solutions for the development by IBI Group include releasing funds from land sale and integrating housing and a new school into the plans to support the local community’s infrastructure.

In addition, the design team has allowed for the future development of a new energy centre and multi-storey car park.

Enabling works are underway with completion of the Healthcare Building planned for summer 2018.
