Construction work on £1.4m affordable housing scheme starts in Cumbria

Hadrian Development Solutions Partnership, comprised of Two Castles Housing Association and Esh Group, has started construction work on ten new affordable homes located at a former Cumbria County Council depot in Sedbergh near Kendal.

Worth a total of 1.4 million pounds, the housing development will include three two-bedroom bungalows as well as five two-bedroom and two three-bedroom townhouses for rent, a news report in the local media has revealed.

Rob Brittain, property services director at Two Castles Housing Association, said: “The proposed development will help to deliver high quality homes for local people to rent in the area and will benefit the wider community by improving a site which has stood derelict for a number of years. We hope that this development would go some way to meet the current high demand in the area for affordable housing.”
