Coca-Cola set to shed near 300 jobs
Coca-Cola Enterprises has decided to exit it store delivery operation, a move following which almost 300 staff members will be made redundant.
According to a news report, the company is set to lay off 288 staff members from its Bristol, East Kilbride, North London, Northampton, Sidcup and Wakefield sites. Coca-Cola Enterprises employs around 4,500 people across the UK.
In a statement to reporters, CCE said: “We have now started a full consultation on these proposals with our employee representative bodies and the Unite trade union. We do not make these proposals lightly and we will, of course, be looking to minimise redundancies as far as possible and will offer support to help colleagues through this process.”
In order to streamline the layoff process, companies must keep very good records of their staff members’ activities and track record, in order to make the best-informed decision regarding which employees will be made redundant, depending on their working efficiency and other stats.
