Attendance recording system uses a specific shift for public holiday working
A quarter of the 24,000 non-schools workforce employed by a council are at risk of losing their jobs, says a prominent trade union. GMB, a general trade union in the United Kingdom, said Lancashire County Council had invited staff to volunteer for redundancy and early retirement. The council, which has joined the ranks of local authorities needing to trim off resources due to spending cuts, said no decision on job losses would be made until after a meeting of the authority on Thursday, December 2.
A Time and Attendance UK attendance recording system will enable your wages department to define many working patterns and shifts to make your firm as efficient as possible. Groups are used to define sequences of shift patterns in the software. AutoSelect Groups have multiple shift patterns available per day. Here, the WinTA software will select the most appropriate shift depending on when an employee starts work. Each group can be set up to override the normal pattern and use a specific shift on public holidays.
