Number of permanent positions in the North of England rises sharply throughout June


According to a recent report by professional services firm KPMG, the number of workers placed in permanent positions across the North of England has literally sky-rocketed over the course of June, further proving the fact that the UK’s economy is recovering.

The pace of expansion also accelerated to the quickest in six months and was the second fastest among all four English regions, behind the south. At the UK level, permanent staff appointments expanded at the quickest pace in over two years.

Construction work on £1.4m affordable housing scheme starts in Cumbria
