Engineering company to create 300 new jobs in Clean Energy business


Amec, an international engineering and project management company, has revealed plans to create more than 300 highly-skilled jobs in its Clean Energy Europe business, a media news report on the matter has revealed.

Based in the north west of England, Amec will focus on boosting its nuclear business and aims to bring in a wide range of disciplines, including safety consultants, project managers and mechanical and electrical engineers.

Landmark building in Leeds to undergo £1m refurbishment


The building at No 1 Whitehall Riverside, one of Leeds’ landmark offices, is set to undergo a major,£1m refurbishment programme, targeting the property’s two 17,159 sq ft vacant office floors.

According to a news report in the local business media, the building has the largest floorplates and amount of vacant grade A space currently available in any one building in the city centre, joint leasing agent Jones Lang LaSalle said.

Ambulance Special Operations Centre to be built as part of Skypark project in Exeter


Regeneration specialist St Modwen has just started working on a new Ambulance Special Operations Centre, as a part of the Skypark project developed in partnership with Devon County Council near to Exeter Airport.

According to a news release in the local media, when the development work is complete, Skypark will provide 1.4 million sq ft of warehouse, industrial and office space and deliver up to 6,500 new jobs.
