Over 100 council workers go on strike


Members of staff working for the South Ayrshire Council’s Property & Maintenance department have decided to go on strike following a long-standing dispute that’s been escalating since back in August 2013.

London Mayor reveals commitment to speed up the delivery of new homes


The Mayor of London has revealed plans to invest millions of pounds into two new schemes designed to help speed up the delivery of new homes and improve affordable home ownership.

Shared ownership helps people on low to medium incomes own a home, requiring lower deposits, and will be given a further funding boost of up to £180m with The Mayor’s First Steps Challenge Fund.
