United House wins contract for building 63 new homes in Hammersmith Grove

Building company United House has managed to secure a contract for building a total of 63 new homes in Hammersmith Grove, London, for housing provider Notting Hill Housing Group, a news report in the local business media has revealed.

As part of this contract, worth an impressive £10 million, the firm will have to demolish an existing mixed use building and create a six storey building in its place, providing a total of 45 homes for private sale and 18 for shared ownership. The scheme, designed by Hunters Architects, will also comprise 70 sq metres of commercial space, basement car parking for 51 cars and secure bicycle storage.

United House will work closely with UK Power Networks to decommission an existing substation on the site, and the project is expected to be completed at some point in 2015.
