Ambulance Special Operations Centre to be built as part of Skypark project in Exeter

Regeneration specialist St Modwen has just started working on a new Ambulance Special Operations Centre, as a part of the Skypark project developed in partnership with Devon County Council near to Exeter Airport.

According to a news release in the local media, when the development work is complete, Skypark will provide 1.4 million sq ft of warehouse, industrial and office space and deliver up to 6,500 new jobs.

The new Ambulance Special Operations Centre will provide a central response, training and administration facility for a range of the Trust’s specialist resources and will be the flagship operational facility to be used by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

Ian Guy, senior development manager for St. Modwen in the South West, said: “Significant investment has been injected into improving Skypark’s overall infrastructure and connectivity over the past year to help attract new occupiers, such as ambulance centre, who will, in turn, help drive jobs and business opportunities in the area.”
