Nottingham-based small and medium businesses will be able to apply for grants ranging between £500 and £5,000 in order to boost their development and growth, a news report in the local business media has revealed.

According to the report, the European Regional Development Fund business grant programme is available through Nottingham-based NBV Enterprise Solutions for start-up and existing SMEs with little or no track record in accessing finance. The scheme targets specifically firms who are on the NBV Grow Your Business scheme and are based in the Nottingham city area, Mansfield, Ashfield or Bassetlaw.

Fardad Amirsaeedi, business development manager at NBV, said: “When someone signs up for the Grown Your Business programme they get a business assessment by a mentor. This is a one-to-one assessment by an experienced business person and, following that, we identify the requirements of that organisation.”
