2,200 new jobs to be created in flagship Newcastle city centre development
Newcastle city centre is set to go through a serious redevelopment, that will see an impressive 2,200 new jobs being created through the construction and operational phases, a news report reveals.
The £200m project is set to regenerate the historic Stephenson Quarter around Central Station and should have actually started back in 2011, but was postponed due to lack of funding. However, developer Silverlink has managed to obtain the required funds from Aviva and Royal Bank of Scotland with backing from Newcastle Council and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership.
The site set for redevelopment will feature a landmark 251-bed four-star hotel, residential apartments, commercial offices, an art gallery and exhibition space and restaurant facilities.
Workforce management is one of the simplest and fastest solutions for improving the level of productivity across an organization, and the various solutions developed by Time and Attendance UK could certainly play a major role in attaining your company’s targeted results. This also applies to the construction industry, where dedicated solutions have to be employed in order to achieve a superior level of efficiency.
For example, smart card technology allows your employees to quickly clock in and out, with the time and attendance software accurately recording attendances. The proximity read method of the cards and fobs means that they will never wear out, and dust and residue picked up from the working environment presents no risk of clogging the reader.
Furthermore, our all-in-one, Smart Card Time & Attendance recording workstation incorporates such features as job booking, job costing, labour hours analysis and security management.
