Civil service pay can be easily controlled by time attendance system
The largest civil service union in the UK has voted to strike over matters such as pay and pensions. Those working in job centres and tax offices will among those walking out later this month as part of the PCS union. A Cabinet Office spokesman stated that pay restraint has helped to protect public sector and public services jobs, adding: “The government took the tough decision to freeze public sector pay for two years, while protecting those earning under £21,000.”
