The Communication Workers Union (CWU) explained why some of its members went on a second strike, saying because they are being asked to do more work with fewer people. The CWU said there would be a meeting outside the depot in Bristol on Tuesday, January 8 to plot the next course of action. Bosses Royal Mail said it would again recruit managers from other locations to try to prevent a backlog; and added it hoped more talks could sort out the dispute.
