Workstation smart card passive electronics have a near infinite life
Officers seeking a ruling about being compelled to retire after 30 years of police service have had their appeals rejected by an employment judge. A representative of rank-and-file police officers, Nigel Rabbitts said he was disappointed with the ruling. Mr Rabbitts remarked: “However, it again highlights the unique position police officers hold. It reinforces our claim that police officers cannot be treated the same as all other public sector workers.”
The large fluorescent display of a T32xx workstation from Time and Attendance UK makes it easy for staff to confirm their clockings and check flexi-time hours. Clocking in and out is simple: just hold the badge for a moment in front of the T32xx and it reads automatically. Our smart card technology reads through non-metallic items, enabling the card to be used while inside a wallet or purse without harming credit cards. Unlike swipe readers, the cards’ passive electronics mean that they do not require batteries and have a theoretical infinite life.
