Fast computer based clocking system complies with EU Working Time Directive
A report by England’s children’s commissioner says some schools in England are illegally excluding pupils. Dr Maggie Atkinson learned that some pupils were moved to other schools or sent home without an exclusion being recorded. The Department for Education (DfE) confirmed unofficial exclusions were unlawful without going through the full process. DfE guidelines clearly say that ‘formal exclusion’ is the only legal method of removing a child from school, either for part of a day or longer.
Time and Attendance UK offers WinTA PC Clock which is a PC based clocking or booking system suitable for schools or colleges, or indeed any small companies that need basic but fast and accurate attendance recording. It is applicable where each pupil or employee has access to a PC. The input screen has an Analysis Module used to calculate the necessary information for the EU Working Time Directive. The analysis module within the package then performs all the calculations necessary to ensure compliance with both regional and national legislation.
