HR management system can enable work breaks to activate between set times
A fire authority has had to get rid of 100 jobs in order to meet budget cuts. Previous cost-cutting measures at Merseyside Fire Service have included imposing a three-year pay freeze. The losses are part of a £9m budget reduction introduced by the fire authority in February to meet government cuts to its grants. The service said voluntary redundancies and retirements would be the method of cutting jobs. Second pumps at five fire stations will be mothballed as part of the savings.
Bonus payments, shifts and payroll are all dealt with by Time and Attendance UK’s state-of-the-art WinTAnet clocking recording systems which can dramatically improve your HR management. A number of basic rules control how hours are calculated by the software. These include settings to separate ‘worked time’ into different overtime rates; to handle night shift working; and to insert unpaid breaks if employees do not clock them. You can also enable breaks to activate between set times, and/or after a minimum number of hours have been worked.
