Quick and accurate way to record employees’ hours of working
A council which is already cutting 285 jobs says that without its new employment conditions, a further 400 staff could be out of work. Southampton City Council said the move would affect about 4,000 of the council’s 6,600 employees. Councillors confirmed £25m budget cuts in February, and now all workers earning more than £17,500 would have their pay cut, with an equivalent reduction in working hours. Those on £17,500 to £22,000 will have their pay cut by 2 per cent.
An all in one Smart Card time and attendance system is available from Time & Attendance UK which is a quick, accurate and easy-to-use way to record employees’ hours of working. A comprehensive array of flexi-time, overtime hours and bonuses is able to be created, very useful when working with the short term contracts of the public sector. The system is compatible with all major payroll systems; and it uses Tensor’s contactless smart cards, key fobs, or fingerprint Biometrics to provide the fastest and safest method of recording attendance.
